This Virtual Reality avatar is my first character to make since 2007. I call her Natura: due to the naturalistic and generative creation process and themes the avatar underwent. The model is about 50k polys now (the original was 20k), with 2k diffuse and emissive textures for the body, and a few other smaller textures for the Tilt Brush strokes and shader variants. Recently I've been adding toggles and customization options so that players can make their own avatar look unique in VRChat. I also made a Quest-compatible version of the avatar for use on mobile processors. Embodying a character model that I am working on is a fun and unique experience that I would definitely recommend! The avatar wasn't made completely from scratch though: you can see some of my process and its transformation on this page. One of my favorite moments of exposure is at the beginning of the HBO documentary "We Met in Virtual Reality. There is a close-up shot of myself using the avatar right near the start of the film.
If you would like to try out the avatar, just download VRChat on Steam, and then click the link below to join my avatar world.

This video has a few moments where it shows my avatar being danced in at some VRChat raves. It's the best video recording of my avatar I have found thus far, and helps give a greater context to the avatar and its use!
Natura can be spotted more then a few times in this latest documentary about the VRC rave scene, just look for the shiny purple avatar throughout the video.
