My main responsibilities on Retrieval were to build and detail the large glacier area of the map, and also the two crashed planes. I defined and blocked out all of the models that I needed to create the glacier and ice cave areas, building and detailing those gameplay spaces, and carrying that detailing into the vista spaces. For the planes there was some 2D and 3D concept work done for them before my work started, so I didn't have to define and blockout as much as I had to for the glacier and ice caves. I helped to define the parts of the plane that we needed to make as final models, and decided which parts I could make myself within the level editor to help keep map production rolling forward. I aimed to share content across planes to help reduce asset requests, and to use pre-existing content to suppliment the important hero assets that had to be made. I also followed through with Closing tasks for the map, doing all of the critical art-related checks to finalize and polish the map so that it can be released.
